2021 Odyssey – Day 18 – Shenandoah National Park, Virginia

Mega-Vistas Galore
There’s a fun story here. A friend had given me a packet of powdered cuprite. I surreptitiously placed the packet under a piece of bark and told Dyan that is was a rare type of tree called the “Shenandoah Color Tree” that emits beautiful colors when burned. I had to fess up because Dyan was filling up her phone with videos of this once-in-a-lifetime event.
