Huge gravel stockpile.
Carnage caused by fires. Signs of slow recovery are evident.
Root mass with ash between roots.
Fine automobile at Grand Lake Lodge.
Not sure if this fire truck was used during the recent fires – but I doubt it.
Some sort of psychedelia in the woods.
Grand Lake
Large Rock
Waterfall on main drainage that feeds Grand Lake. A tunnel just uphill of Grand Lake feeds water to Estes Park. Water is pumped from Lake Granby to Grand Lake during times of low meltwater.
Canyon below falls.
Be still my heart.
Betty Grable had an influence on automotive design.
View from ascent to top of Rocky Mountain National Park down valley towards Grand Lake. This is prime mouse country.
View to the west.
Cirque to the east of Rocky Mountain National Park HQ.
Cool dudes.
Blue lights under camper make it easy to find and to circumnavigate on moonless nights.
Sheared metamorphics within the core complex attest to some serious mountain building.
